Cambridge Lower Secondary (Grade 6th to Grade 8th)
Cambridge International helps the learners develop an informed curiosity and a lasting passion for learning; it is a part of the University of Cambridge. With a wide range of subjects and flexible ways to offer them, it helps students discover new abilities and a wider world, and gives them the skills they need for life, so they can achieve at school, university and work.
Cambridge Lower Secondary develops skills in ten subjects including English, Mathematics and Science. It is designed to help schools deliver a broad and balanced curriculum that suits their context, culture and ethos. The curriculum sets clear learning objectives and focuses on developing knowledge and skills in all subjects, providing excellent foundations, knowledge and skills needed for post-14 education programmes that lead to formal qualifications.
Teachers are able to monitor your child’s development through a number of progress checks built into the Cambridge Lower Secondary programme. Some subjects are assessed in the classroom through discussion, observation and lesson outputs. Teachers discuss with students ‘what went well’ and how they can improve further, helping your child to reflect on, and improve, their performance.
